red is me

I am more than a sunrise
even when she forgets
to close her blinds

I light up the room
raising higher and higher
and out this window frame
comes a light surprise

relish this world
like poppies and lollies growing

she will not speak nor will she sleep
for insomnia will strike

now red is just a color
its on a rose
flowers pass on through generations
flowers grow in a garden

shes water
she nurishes me

is this romance?
