Hush

She looks out the window
To see if he’s coming home
She is newly wed
But he leaves her alone

then he mistreats her
And puts her down
Then he goes out all night
With other girls all over town

And then she cries
How long can she pretend
A voice tells her "hush
The longest rope has an end

She has four sisters
They cried on her wedding day
They all were so close
But now they are so far away

And when he comes home
He likes to be in control
And he hits her on her face
Because his food gets cold

And when she cries
her heart fill with pain
A voice tells her "hush
You will smile again

She makes up her mind now
That she will not take any more
And when he was sleeping
She sneaks out the back door

And she ran all night
through the pouring rain
leaving behind a bridge
never to cross again

She fell in her mother’s arms
Their tears fall on the floor
Her father would have killed him
But he's not living anymore

And as they cry
She feels a new beginning
And a voice tells her "hush
Today your pain has end

a voice tells her 'hush
today your pain has an end

A very powerful piece, with a message I related well with. It's sad that marriages end up this way. Personally, I think it is harder when they already have a child. Lovely write.
