Flower in the Garden

by Mortal Utopia   Nov 16, 2017

I saw you once,
as you held each raindrop,
with its shy, flickering shine

on your outstretched petals.

You know,
when you caught the rain like that
it glittered on your gentle petal-wings –

like the wings of an angel.

I really wanted to tell you this –
because I’m scared you’ll never realise
that you’re one of the reasons

why this place is so beautiful.
