How Blue I am!

To A. Shamloo

I am maybe a blue scout
from the blue ceiling of popery,
the blue arch,
of saints and angels!

I am maybe
just a blue whale
in the eyes of oceans.

I am maybe
the blue beam of moon
in the sclera of an infant's eyes.

I am maybe
a blue posy,
bruised
in the distance of my darling's hair.

I am maybe
a blackamoor
whose whiteness spread
through his melody to his bones,
singing blues
turning purple
pouring all his white soul
into the dark saxophone of his doom
languishing,
in his lungs of longing blooms.

I am maybe
the blue aura of your poetry
with a red tulips of sentiment
stemming
out of the silver
tress
of your words.

I am maybe
the blue iris
drowned in abysmal sea
of your tear,
a lonely shine
smudge
on the nocturnal translucency,

a swan,
the only neck
elongating
out of the blue well
of nightfall.

How
blue
I
am!!
