The Tale of Woe

by ddavidd   Nov 21, 2017

Drawn-out and broad
on the cobblestone
of sheer facade
I came across
a heart
all scratched out
and clawed.

Wondered and awed
thought came out of shroud:
"From where
is this patch of cloud
coming in this sunny day of God?"

A seedling bowed
before coming aloud:

"Here!
from the grieves of those grains
graved under these stones
whose existence
have never been
avowed!"

Two sets of rhymes are chosen in this. The fact that these two sets are near rhyme to one another is not due to confusion, it is deliberate.
1- broad , façade clawed, awed,God
2- shroud, cloud, bowed, aloud, avowed
