Lost in the idea of having you
You told me it won't happen
And so I forgot my feelings
I convinced myself that I don't want you anymore

Yet in my dreams you still linger
Haunting my every thought
Gorgeous and alluring
Desirable and tempting

I don't want to fall in
For the pit has no end
And no aparent way to escape

And still I find myself
Pondering the chance of your love
Despite my better judgement
I am willing to risk the fall
For a chance at your love

    Good poem. I have been there. For me it was both a sad an exciting place to be at the same time. Sadness won eventually.

    I'm gutted I don't have a nomination left because this hit me hard as unrequited love is heartbreaking but unfortunately it happens and as they say you can't help who you fall in 'love' with especially when they don't love you back because you're always left wondering "what if?"
