a lovely flowing rhyming piece - reminiscing of your 'piece of tin' certainly a story behind that I imagine.

      Cheers dude.

It's not really about my chunk of tin it's about the ones others wear, although mine obviously features.

As many will know I am a volunteer for a youth group. At a recent event I was astounded by the how many medals people wore. I looked at them!

Out of 60 or so guests only myself and 3 others have seen active service.

It kinda grated a little and it made me think.

Why does someone who has made themselves rich deserve an honour? So what !you splash some cash on charitable deeds! It is but a drop in the ocean compared to that fortune.

Knighthoods and honours should be reserved for the military and those brave civilians who stood in the face of adversity.

Not some knob who just got rich off the back them.

Perhaps just my thoughts but it's ones I can't escape or deny

      Regards
