Somebody just like you

by Walter   Dec 3, 2017

I heard your voice just told
And your words I reminisce
Makes my mind lose control
Each time I think of this

But your mind has total hold
More powerful than your wits
And every moment I see you
Is the reason as to why I exist

Where do you want this to go?
How much longer should I persist?
Although I wasn't searching for somebody
You made it impossible to dismiss

But I'm just someone you know
And I know that I will miss
I long to turn to face you
Be somebody you want to kiss

I aspire to someone just like you
I admire somebody just like you

Your presence I behold
Feel you warm and passionate
Inside I'm sensing cold
Your heart it feels eclipsed
My yearning is so bold
And to the clouds I will lift
But in my dreams are the only place where you and I exist

And where else can I go?
When my feelings turn to risk
I wish I could take you higher
Where you and I become addicts
I see your aura glow
My blindness turns to bliss
It's not just my eyes that only sense you
A feeling as deep as this

I desire somebody just like you
I require someone just like you

If only I would show
The senses that you insist
I would give you absolutely everything
Your body ever missed

There's nothing I wouldn't do for you
You're all my heart consists
You're someone I am allured to
You're somebody I can't resist

You're somebody just like this...

Thanks Kitty Cat Lady! But I assure you the poem is not about myself, although I'm sure even you have felt this way by someone at least once? BTW, I really liked you poem, "I'm fine". As intense as my poem I would have thought, gave me goosebumps! Cheers ;)
