For Lauren

by Tony   Dec 5, 2017

How can I reach out to you
When I'm not the man you met?
How can I remember him
When I just want to forget?

I'm barely holding together
Just trying to stay sane
My life's a fricken thunderstorm
And my body aches when it rains

You are the eye of my storm
The angel on my shoulder
The friend that I have never met
The medic to my soldier

I take cover when I am wounded
A short tactical pause
Radio silence while I bind them
It's just one of many flaws

I haven't forgotten, or overlooked
My mind's just under apprehension
It's better I give seldom at all
When you deserve my full attention

    Tony :)

You are so incredibly sweet. I am always here for you! You've been at war- in every sense of the word, and have been battling more than most can imagine. Take your time binding those wounds. Heal. And even through the silence, I'll always be near. Just look back, and there I'll be. Much love to you, my Sweet Soldier in Blue <3

Oh my goodness...what? Team Tony is back? ;-)

I always have to apologize because when you two post something about each other I cannot help but smile so wide.

A beautiful and very sweet message here Tony, although this is dedicated to only one special person. Readers such as myself feel so much hope in these genuine words and you know our friends or rather family here are really great even though we haven't met each other yet. And even though you barely have time for each other your hearts can never forget what you have shared. It's great to have someone to talk to and share life's ups and downs.

    Just so raw and touching!
