This is us now

by -Choke-On-MY-Halo-   Dec 6, 2017

You captured my
heart in midair
after you defeated my
spiked prickly walls,

Took my soul
the day you
closed your eyes and
I sang every song
that could cure a
widows pain.

I talk to our memories;
hear your voice in
my mind and wonder
If this is the price I pay
for bashing love before you.

My nights are strangely
empty now that you're
gone and I pray you're
warm with the blanket
all of us will share.

Baby will you still love
me when I come to you
soaked in sorrow and my
hands scorched with longing?

*first poem I've written in a year frankly it's hard writing I have only sad writtings for I am mourning

Great to see you posting again, albeit, with a rather sad piece of writing. My genuine sympathies to you.

    Take care,

aw, heart-wrenching. I feel it here. I'm so sorry for your loss. No words of mine will help, but writing your thoughts in such a beautiful way will, I hope, bring you a little comfort xx

A very sad piece, reflecting your emotions while in mourning. So sorry to hear this. But wonderfully paced, and a nice flow all through

    Much warmth
    Michael :)x
