Unveiling Rhyme and Endless Tears

by Maple Tree   Dec 19, 2017

Upon one morning they buried my soul
as if my limbs were rooted; not
removed my sight from moon and sun
upon a bed of roses; they forgot.

Scattered to wilt beaneth the stars
just a tomb of empty words remain,
becoming ashes of a timeless love
my body is flesh no more; just flame.

Forgive my lips, they do not speak
for what a heart reveals in verse,
I am but a corpse entwined in death;
just a tree, alone; poetic curse.
