This is so brutally honest yet beautifully portrayed in flawless rhyme... Relatable to many I guess

Thanks Em, very personal indeed. Can't figure out what title speaks to me most but it has been a piece I've been working on for a while and I appreciate your reading it.

Very deep and honest and many of us can relate. All the very best.

in truth, I snort control like coke
    fixated by addictive highs.

Fantastic couple of lines, Stephen, and an all-round fantastic write. Raw and honest.

    All the best as ever,

Ah my friend! There are always secrets!
But they are truly often hid.
Of all the dark thoughts we have had,
And of the things we all did.

    None of us are perfect!
    None of us are pure.
Hang that cross around your neck,
    It's nothing but a lure.

We are child, man and woman,
We exist and have a choice.
    Ignore what other people say
    Remember your own voice.

And if it does not sit so comfortably,
Then you know it is not right.
So it's time to stand and be yourself,
And perhaps sleep well one night.

It's amazing how one can see herself within these lines. That's the power of poetry.

Stephen, a honest gut wrenching raw write. It's not easy to look at yourself in the mirror and not like what is staring back at you. As hard as it seems, cutting yourself some slack goes a long way in accepting yourself, flaws and all. None of us are perfect, far from it. Please start breaking that wall down, the view from the other side is far from lonely-hugs my friend-

I can relate to this so much. Painful, but beautifully put. A brilliantly written piece!
