Vampire Narrative Part 2

by Robert Long   Dec 19, 2017

As we leave the room
i can finally smell
the scent of other people
and i finally felt well

welcome to our coven
and yes it isn't much
but we're family here
and we treat each other as such

my name is Jake
and yes i know you're confused
but i'll explain shortly
and i promise you wont be rused

but before he could explain
i caught the scent of blood
so i rushed out the building
just like a raging flood

not long after
i saw what it was
a person with his leg caught
was the only cause

it was caught in the boards
of the pier dock
then i advanced on him
with a slow walk

when i got near
i could see him bleed
wanted to bite him
but i helped him with due speed

i held back
and just walked away
thank you so much
is all he could say

i nodded
then i ran back
and the others looked at me
because i resisted my snack

A captivating light hearted follow on. It raises interest in the reader as to why the newly created vampire resisted the temptation of an easy meal. Leaving it with open questions is an excellent ploy to ensure reader loyalty. Best wishes Milly x

Dark and darkly humorous in places, Robert. I will be on hand to read the next instalments should you decide to post them.

    All the very best
