Have you seen it?

Ding dong merrily on high
Christmas cakes and mince pies
Twinkling lights adorning the trees
Anticipation in the icy breeze

Gifts bought and carefully wrapped
Too much to do, energy sapped
Enough food to feed an army
It really is quite crazy and barmy

Somewhere amid the tinsel and bells
I'm going through some funny spells
My Christmas spirit upped and went
My goodwill well and truly spent

So if you find it, please give it back
It's not so often that I lose track
There's still time for me to get in the swing
And get excited about what Santa will bring!

    Miss Kitty,
    I love this piece, reflecting on your feelings around Xmas. I thought to myself the other day, when I was a child there was no internet shopping, and my town was busy with shoppers.
    Now its mad - even with internet shopping, the town feels even crazier and busy. Its all a different story being older haha

    Christmas is my favorite time especially in Germany it was the best time with my kids. Hectic but so very rewarding. I love it and thank you for sharing. All the best

    Nice rhyming piece that captures christmas for a great many people. Too much food and stress especially for Mums can kill the Christmas spirit. Really enjoyable read. Milly x
