Happy New Years, my love

I’ve only known you for a year;
But it feels like it’s been so much longer.
I’ve spent the last three hundred and sixty five-ish days
completely amazed at how you have somehow managed to change my view on everything I thought I knew about life.
It’s not always rainbows and butterflies and yes-
Sometimes people we care about become a cancer to us but
It’s how we manage to survive all the crap life throws at us and keep living that matters.
I’ve laughed ten times more than I ever have in my entire life since I’ve met you,
And while this year went by so fast it also managed to drag out
every last moment we have shared;
For which I couldn’t be more grateful because I have
And will continue to-
Love each and every single one.
One year with you has felt like a
lifetime;
And since that’s the case it looks
like I’ve already spent an entire lifetime loving you,
And I’m really looking forward to spending another continuing to do so.
