Deep dark abyss

by Em   Dec 28, 2017

I'd been wrapped up in darkness for so long
that I no longer knew how to be strong
then you strutted your stuff and came along
it was like a scene out of a love song
but things were never meant to be
darkness once again took over me
you left my heart full of icy debris
what hurt the most is you couldn't foresee
how your leaving would affect me
you were so strung up on starting anew
that I was put on a back burner feeling blue
feeling disappointed at what I'd put you through
but I'm here to tell you that it wasn't you -

depression took over me chained me to the ground
but now I'm back on medication or else I'd have drowned.

Sometimes its we who hurt us more and push the those
who come close to us and all because of that dark patch which
    keeps us changed...take care dear..

Em, I just love your writing style, it's so high impact...I'm just sorry what you must have gone through to write something like this.

It seems so disheartening to think of that abyss, to realize how deeply we can keep falling. But I hope you find your anchor, especially if it's yourself.

    Always here for you! <3
