Two Nightingales

by naaz   Dec 30, 2017

The unpredictable is predictable now
as one can easily read it on my face.
Once you leave, I will drift aimlessly
in between the time and space.

Soon you will cross the gates of heaven,
and there you will rest in paradise.
My heart will keep on chasing the ghosts,
only darkness will be left in these eyes.

I don't know will I be able to find
poetry again in these words of mine.
Your loss will remain a mystery to me,
without the feelings a poem can't rhyme.

When my soul no longer be able to hold
this fabric of life, and it will be free.
I will come and embrace you, sing you
the lullaby once again under the pine tree.

Naazz, this really is lovely. The visuals I got from reading this, knowing how one feels when they lose someone, you are just drifting, kind of killing time until you meet again. Very beautifully done-hugs my friend-

I love this poem truly. The rhyming flows so well and doesn't feel forced and the meaning behind the poem is very emotional. One of the best pieces I've read here truly.
