Blood Moon (Enchantress Saga)

by Tony   Jan 2, 2018

The gibbous moon shall sway and swoon
Herself enraptured so
By the faerie folk, tangible as smoke
Dancing above the embers glow

Sylvan songs string mortals on
Erudite maidens fine and fair
Deep ocean eyes, shame crystal skies
Red ruby lips and silken hair

An arcane chant, this elvish cant
Emenating from enchanted wood
Like sirens' call, men turned to thrall
They dance with dryads in darkened hoods

Feyan blighters benight the blinded
Bloody mayhem stains the moon
Luna in sacrificium sanguine
The Enchantress claims her prize... their doom

Tony this is an absolute gem and for some reason it sent me goosebumpy and I had to re-read it and still I don't think I've completely felt the full beauty of the piece if that makes sense. I am overjoyed that it's been nominated
