Happiness

by Professor Leskinen   Jan 3, 2018

A man once met a girl he loved
She loved him back, was pretty and bold
Yet all she felt was pain and sorrow
He gave his heart to her to borrow

The woman's pain then started fading
But the man's body was decaying
And so she gave him back his heard
To the eternity they'd swap

Untill one day the girl was healed
Her heart would pound as well as his
They laughed and talked and they'd enjoy
With other friends to share their joy

The two lovers will always meet
And life itself feels like a dream
They know their roles and help each other
-there can't be one without another-

And all the joy's replaced with dread
Because it's fake, this happy end
With tears in eyes, i lift my pen
I tear the page and start again

Hmmm...very interesting! Lots of images popped into my mind
and it took me through different situations. The end, well then end
is what most poets end up doing when he she realizes nothing is true...
    touching write, nicely penned.
