My beautiful inspiration

by Michael   Jan 8, 2018

Sorrow melted
from my eyes;
seared from
endless weeping.

My tears fell likes
ashes upon my
wilted feathers

my plume curdled-
from the burdens of
sadness coalesced;
with specks of my
happiness

a dissention
of two emotions

Overtime-
the darkness unfolded;
that rattled beneath
my prudent wings

Hope-
transuded through
my brittle cage.
casting out the vulture!

This vulture-
that fed from my delicacy,
gradually perished;
as the sun-rose within me,
a warm tempo began
to beat out the antipathy;
dripping through my pores
with its embers mingling
upon rays of my vision

my wings arched
like a rainbow;
colourful seeds of
wisdom and freedom
seeped into my soul

my heart blossomed;
with innovation.

Fear.

However.

I did not forget.

as it was fear,
that brought
me here.

To the horizon
of my beautiful
Inspiration.

    Beautiful write, Michael. Great metaphors here and I love the ending lines.

    Oh fantastic Michael! I just love the metaphors and the struggle between fear and sadness and hope. A 'soaring' write! :-) x
