A gruelling night that came and went
which left me bent and badly spent
a tax was paid upon my soul
and now I'm light and not quite whole -
hole - the holes I made and carved -
to think I had been so long starved
of blood and flesh that smelled and ran -
no paste, nor stitch, no concrete damn
could quell the flood - that ruby stream -
that 'neath the moon did flow and gleam
I've just got in - the sun still comes -
the sun that framed the deeds I'd done:
the sightless eyes, the bloody breasts -
the holes and tears and all the rest
Is madness just around the bend?
Do I now snake and wind and wend
Upon a path that makes me ill
and am I now ordained to spill
more life, more blood - shoot angels down
and splay their wings upon the ground?
Indeed, I am - I know my ruse:
to find my one compelling muse
that quenches me from now till then -
not then! I will not think of when
my own time co
No, no, you won't -
I will burn bright, not fade to smoke!
Not now, not then - their life gives life!
This is so deliciously creepy and so brilliantly rhymed. I'm hooked and want to keep reading more. You are so talented it takes a great writer to get into the mind of such an evil entity. Well done on part two. Best wishes Milly x
