To Be or Not to Be

by ddavidd   Jan 12, 2018

He who laughs has not yet heard the dreadful news.
- Bertolt Brecht

To be, means
the ability to ignore the dreadful news,
the ability to forsake the dreadful news.

To be, means
to compromise with the dreadful news,
to incorporate into the dreadful news,
in our silence,
we consent,
we become
a part,
THE dreadful news.
