Teddy

by Mortal Utopia   Jan 14, 2018

When you danced with me,
the world would whirl around
into blurs of light and colours…

Well, that’s how I imagined it:

when you spun around holding me,
my fur and fluff, my motionless body -
as though I was the centre of your world.

You always told me I was your only friend.

Sometimes, I wished there was a way
to tell you things:
like how our friendship isn’t imaginary -

that I’m really there…
…and that you’re not completely alone.
