As The Cherry Blossom Falls

by Ben   Feb 1, 2018

As the cherry blossom
falls
in
the
autumn,
blanketing the ground
at the foot of the red maple
the sun sets over this land
blessing it with
a sunbeams kiss.

The shadows of the auspicious light pagoda,
race across the landscape
caressing and hugging the
vibrant lilies and chrysanthemum
standing steady in the winds of history,
staining them with their ancestors legacy.

The song of the goshawk rings
through the meadow
as she perches proud
on the old bridge,
singing for the heart of japan.
