Forgotten

by Walter   Feb 8, 2018

I knew we wouldn't last
No matter how hard I tried
Why bother even pretending
When your love for me has died

I always saw it coming
Your words you pick to hide
The only reason we are together
Is each time that we collide

I won't let it bother me
You're no longer by my side
You really think I'll fall apart
From the hurt you caused inside

I too can also forget
And just ignore my pride
Don't think that I will need you
Your love that you denied

So take what you will
From us that's now divide
I will no longer say I love you but...
I've forgotten that I lied

As I sit here in the dark reminiscing on how beautiful the relationship I once had; now dead filled with lies... Definitely took the words out of my mouth. Beautiful job 5/5
