Coz You Lied

by C Cattaway   Feb 16, 2018

Lifelong friends. You don't pick up,
Now that I telephone?
You don't reply to texts? I saw
That you were still at home.

How could you say things wouldn't change,
But then ignore my calls?
Why did you lie about still caring?
Nothing hides those flaws.

Well, my news is mine to know.
You've proven that we're done.
You've turned your back. I take the hint.
I hope your life is fun!

Best you turn your own back on people like that. Life is hard enough without going through it relying on those who can't be relied upon.

Take care and all the best,

Life long friends are the family that we choose and we invest so much of ourselves into such friends that is why it is always so devastating if and when they betray us and throw away all those years of friendship. I never understand why they do that. True friendship is one of the most precious gifts in life and it should never be so easily thrown away.

That must hurt I know it would hurt me. Why can't people or friends just be honest. Major betrayal in my eyes. All the best to you.
