THOSE SNEAKY RUNNING LEAVES!

Yes, they piss me off, I sweep them back, but they always come forth, the wind is their friend, getting up to challenge them, is not a welcome thing for old men!
While sitting in my open-door garage, I see them playing in my yard, they creep slowly inside, they love to bug me, even arriving by my side, and saying: Ha-Ha- where can you hide, in your comfort place we will abide!

Finally, I cannot control my built-up anger, which has been cut to the bone, and I shout at them; Please, LEAVE me alone! To my surprise, one little guy who got carried in by the North Wind, said; so sorry that I barged in, I just wanted to say; Hi and then Goodbye, to my friend. I felt bad for my little leaf friend knowing that his life was at it’s end, and I, someone who cares was better than Death’s ultimate sad end.

God has put Eternity in my Soul, and I look forward for the Day when He will create New Heavens and Earth, nothing will ever die again, the Earth and its bounty of living things will once again be our friends. The original Curse will be lifted, no Creatures will do you any harm, pollution will be forever gone!

I love the quirkiness of your poetry and in this personification of the leaves and their invasion of your life made me chuckle and then ending on the more sombre note looking towards an end to the more serious issue of pollution. As always an excellent read. All my best wishes Milly x
