I've said how I long to open the door
To this world I do not trust
But it's been shut for so long now
That the locks begun to rust

    ^^
Sad but stunning. I love this stanza, Tony. I can say that without feeling too guilty because the piece ends so beautifully and so full of hope.

All the best to you as ever

Thank you Ben, I'm feeling uncharacteristically hopeful these past few days, but part of me is waiting for the other shoe to drop.

This is great Tony ... I get how hard it is to open up to someone new when you've closed yourself off in self-defence. Great rhyming as usual with fear and hope expressed in equal measures :-) x

Thanks Kitty, normally it isnt this hard but I really care about this one. I have more to lose...

Beautiful! :) Don't worry about the other shoe dropping...you got this. Take it one day at a time. Hope for the best. Just don't lose sight of yourself in the process.

Glad to see you writing again! Take care :)
