    lovely use of extended metaphor here, Tony. Those blasted 'oceans' do keep drowning us, don't they?

      Thanks Ben... and yes, they do. I had a play on words with the title. Surfeited can either mean an over abundance, or a sickness from an overabundance... which is the state I'm currently finding myself.

    This is a brilliant metaphor Tony, and although the meaning behind it is sad, your expression of it is wonderful and I like how you've asked and answered your own question in the final stanza. Fab stuff! :-) x

      Thanks Kitty, I used to think of myself as the wave, and I would brake on the rocks... always being pulled by the moon... but I ran with this one. And I guess it works
