'Good show'

elevated above-
my eyes south-facing
as a curtain raised below

stood in leaning position
on my third floor balcony
the view was exceptional;
like upper-circle seats at an open-air theatre
presenting a live performance of-
‘early hours of Sunday morning’

A trilogy – consisting of intrigue, mystery and suspense

‘There’s no place like unable to get home’. (intrigue)

Her feet manoeuvred an action like cross-stitch
as she threaded a path home.
each time she took a step closer to home;
she was held back-further with three. Her handbag looked
like it could of been - being taken for dog, that didn’t want a walk;
dragged with an arm-strap. Her other made gestures in the air,
as if there were flies everywhere (it was dark)
finally she turned into an alleyway, or maybe a pumpkin?

‘pick-up joint’ (mystery)

With head bent back, he shouted in riddles,
“please let me down, and someone in”
which is why he is now divorced. Maybe.
Then with head bent forwards, like surrendering
and becoming his own hostage, his hands were
stuck in his trouser pockets-fumbling! I sensed
he was playing for time, (Or playing, that should be left for another time!)
waiting for his requested call. He sloped, and sat-
up-tight against the railings. His position was soon
recovered by the Police!

‘you looking at me’ (suspense)

Both naked, directly in the
apartment window opposite
a reflection of myself and a lady;
we started to...
