Comments : Silent killer

Oh Walter this is so sad :-( domestic violence is indeed a silent killer and it's so hard to help someone when the nature of the abuse has taught then to be so closed off to others.
If this were an actual situation, I'd keep trying to reach out, or maybe confide in a female co worker to see if she could break through.
Flawless rhyming as always :-) x

It is very sad Kitty especially at how common this seems to happens these days. It's beyond me how anyone could even imagine doing this to a person. Thanks kindly for your comments. x

Unfortunately I have been this person you describe hiding things - my face and body more so and it's not pretty when you know people know and want to help but you're top afraid to ask for it for fear of what your domestic abusive partner will do it makes your whole body ache with grief not for someone passed away but the person you used to be thankfully I am one of those that came out the other side

Em, this makes me so sad to hear that you were a victim of this. I am so sorry and at least feel some relief when you say you managed to escape. I can only wish that you are no longer in any danger.

Walter, it is so hard knowing someone is in that position and not being able to do anything. Continue to offer your friendship, let them know they aren't alone. Well done with this -

Thanks Brenda and yes, I work with wonderful supportive people who have got her in touch with our H/R counsellor.
