Percussion

Do you hear the rhythm?
Can you recognise a song?
Can you feel it pulse and beat?
Do your fingers tap along?

I hit things with sticks!
I make an artist fall in line.
Keep I violin or guitar up to speed,
A vocalist in time.

This time it's not of my making,
For nature holds this beat.
The sounding of the rain pouring down
No rehearsal or repeat.

As I desire to sleep and rest,
There is no song that I could hum.
Just water upon a metal roof,
And the beat of nature's drum.

    I do love playing drums, although this week I wish I was a true percussionist.

    My instruments of choice would be heads and I would knock em together

      It's nice in summer if it's a light rain. Sometimes I'll get up chuck a t shirt and jeans on and stand in it for a little while

      It's cooling and soothing at the same time

      In winter when it's hammering it down its not so nice, especially if the wind is blowing too.

      I don't go round whacking wasps nests with sticks you know! (I'll leave that to you! couldn't resist, sorry! Ish! Lol)

      I like playing drums although they're gonna need a new home sometime soon.
