Iris

by Nick   Mar 28, 2018

You were the iris in my garden;
As luminous as the sun could be.
Rays of affection forevermore,
Came from you so pleasantly.

You were the iris in the sky-
Morning emblazon; twilight plume.
An ethereal radiance of love-
This in my heart I hold with truth.

Cascade of stars-
Encircling divinity.
An endlessly shimmering nebula,
Shaping the essence of empathy.

Yes you are the iris in my own
Reflecting wonder and glee.
A blooming presence of hope-
That has made life so beautiful to me.
