Another wandering lost soul.

by Blank   May 2, 2018

This icy glacier stretches far and wide, like that one story, where that monster may reside.

Your hands are numb and blue, transparent and mind fooled.
Your soul wonders free.
Fresh, out of its cocoon.

"What's going on?" Your mind calls out for help. None of your deities can save you now, count your blessings.
Count those gifts.
No divine rights exist.

An eternal walk, your soul no longer wants to be of drift.
"Another wandering lost soul?" A calm and soothed voice calls, but was never seen or found.

I like this a lot. Nicely paced, nice format with sprinkling of rhyme.

    Take care.

I'm a sucker for rhyme, I'm trying to get better and writin poems without it.

I wish I had a nomination left as this is one of those dark twisty little poems that I love.

It could be considered macabre by some but and in a certain frame of mind I would also.

In my present state I think it's simply says "this is how it is".

Poetry is a funny thing! Whatever you read, you will be affected by and interprete in your own way.

We do not have access to the thoughts of others, yet we hope we have a little understanding.

    I enjoyed reading this massively.

    Regards
