I felt as I read the pace changed from time to time, or that could of been how I just read it. Either way very emotional and moving.

An excessively brave and touching poem, it has me melted here. Losing close ones is a difficult phase of life which we all need to go through, and surviving that is an even more brave thing to do.

If you were writing it as a formed piece I could give you constructive feedback, but this, as it is, a prose, is just fine - more than fine.

I suggest you try a formed piece, like writing in stanzas. Try writing a poem, in stanzas. They don't need to rhyme, but should have a similar syllable count.

The poem or prose felt heart felt, I think as poets we always strive to make a reader feel. To experience emotion. It had that. I would tweak the flow as I do to mine all the time, but it’s a very good write.
