This is so very sad to read. I'm sorry for your loss.
You mention that you hope that they are now at peace, in a place far from pain. I think that from there they can look over those who love them still. ((Hugs)) x

    Morning Naomi,

sorry for being absent from your posts. I will try and make this up...

free verse sometimes allows the poet to ramble on in a confusing maze of words. You have penned a piece that is not confusing and conveys your grief at loosing someone so so close to you. I felt the unfairness of it all when they left what seemed exclusive. The part wear you admit to fearing the world seeing what you had seen all along spoke volumes and was brave to write down - I hope this helped.

As a sad write, the emotion leaks of the page convincingly.

Well done - I hope the time that has passed since writing this has helped to heal, even if just a little. ((hugs))

      Thank you Dear Mr Darcy.
It was difficult for many reasons..
One being i saw this person on Friday and on Monday I got the news they had passed..
Out of the blue, nothing seemed amiss..
      It was, hard.. still is..

I suppose I have a long way to go still. but thank you for your kind words. No need to apologies. I will admit I was less active for a little while and have a lot to catch up on, but am back now..
