This made me feel tons of emotions! I love this so much!!! I felt despair, warmth, anger, sadness... everything. This is sooo lovely!!! I wish I have another nomination left, I'd surely nominate this! This is really awesome! Had too Google who you are talking about in this piece and it was Bobby Kennedy. Thought this is going to be about storms, or typhoons since the US has had experienced great storms, and I was really glad it wasn't. I definitely love the narrative here, the fact that you included your friend Tim, is heartwarming for me, especially the part that 'a friend needn't say much', I love how you introduced the poem with that moment Tim told you he was shot and you assumed he was talking about John Kennedy. I love how I am able to take a peek at your life through this and feel every emotion you had at that moment. This piece really reminds me of Don McLean's American Pie, and maybe that die can be your own version of 'The Day The Music Died'. Aside from that, I remember reading an article about the assassination of Ninoy Aquino years ago and I had the same feeling I had reading that while reading this. The ending is perfectly done, so much despair and tiredness, like this storm really never got out of you. I could go on and on about this because I love this, though I may be saying a bunch of nonesense right now. Haha. Hope someone nominates this.
