"It's just a phase."

by Blank   Jun 9, 2018

Some kids are sad,
With their perscripted medication for artitical smiles.
Questioning for real ones.
But you tell them, it's only just a phase.

Some kids like black hair,
With their loud music and explosive looks.
Chains, piercings, tattoos.
And that eyeshadow.
But you tell them, It's only just a phase.

Some boys like boys.
Some girls like girls.
Boys want to be girls and girls want to be boys.
Sometimes they want to be neither or both.
But you tell them, it's only just a phase.

Oh, how your words are just denting the skin and brain of these children, of these teenagers, and maybe those adults.

So silence those words, accept others, for what goes around, comes around. Opinions are opinions, but opinions can be wrong.
Let them enjoy their pride.
Support them, for you'll enjoy the ride.
