Just before the dawn (dreamscape)

.
whoop, whoop
accompanied the
rapid flash
of strobing blue

the Lithuanian driver
huffed and indicated left...

*air-brake sound*

from his large lorry mirror
he noticed, surprisingly,
a lady wearing pyjamas
& pink slippers. . .
walking his way.

bunny slippers? he thought

on tip toe,
she reached up,
*tap-tap-tap*

*window decends*

a weathered face
looks down

*giggling* she says:

"I believe you're hauling cocaine...sir"

"ka", he grunts

"Well", she points, *stifling laughter*
"it's a clear admission
by the signage on the side"

Aggravated, he yells
& shakes his head:
"Pamišes": crazy!

the window raises,
as he drives off in a cloud of
frustration...

the lady, *clutching her sides with
uncontrollable laughter*
watches as the Coke lorry
fades out of sight.

Author's note: I decided to write this after being woken up by hysterical laughter. I questioned my partner's, obviously still dreaming mind. And this poem is the essence of her dream. Bizarre, I know! Lol
