Twilight Serenade

My bourbon glows gem-like
In the setting sun,
Mellowing in the evening air
As I settle into my concert,
Swiftsong and the faint vibrato
Of bumblebees and Cheeky Chappy,
Resident hummingbird,
Forming a Sunday evening choir
To serenade the softly rolling fields
Into twilight.
