Inside a Poet Pt. 3

by CânnâBîsh   Jul 22, 2018

Sometimes we write about our own demise.
Sometimes we really do want to die.
Other days are darker than most.
So when we have no one to turn to.
All we do is write.
..
That doesn't mean that's all we need.
Sometimes we feel alone.
Pen and paper are our only friends,
99% of the time..
We might tell you we are okay,
But we're never really fine.
Not everyone can pick up the phone.
Or drive a few blocks or hours.
To get the comfort from our brothers. Or sisters.
Or loved ones miles away.
Not everyone can handle us.
Us poets are unique.
It takes a very strong individual,
To handle the mind of a poet.
