Sometimes I'll flip sometimes I'll spin,
Sometimes I'll lose sometimes I'll win.
Sometimes to fight Sometimes to flight,
Depends what gets me through the night!
Sometimes I'll listen and think intently,
Then sometimes I will not.
This is me through and through,
Some things are not so easily forgot.
That dream of what you had!
The rock of what could be?
Stone crushed within a mechanical screen,
Particles now blowing on the breeze.
Lost to the fog and mist of memory,
With the passing of a some time.
The memories you wish to lose,
Can make you wish that you should die.
You can't forget your past!
It may make you plummet down and fall.
The mind is such a sledgehammer,
And it smashes down that wall.
But walls are made by woman and man.
We have placed brick after brick after brick
Centuries of effort in their building,
Would you demolish it so quick?
So things done and that have expired,
Still cause pain and have effect,
But it's not for you to give up so soon.
You have things to do as yet!
Craig, I always like your writes. You tell it how it is or how you are feeling, no sugar coating and honestly put. Well done-

It's a release of turbulent thoughts to be sure.

Another great piece with vivid imagery and strong emotion. Loved it. Milly x
Thank you mills.
Emotion yes but I'm not sure about imagery. Perhaps I don't always see it, unless I'm writing something of fantasy in which case the images are pretty real in my head.
If I can tweak the one I'm writing to what I think I like the fantasy fans should love it.

Another side of you has been displayed here above all
I like the honesty and putting forth all that you have and are...
keep penning, take care
Not seen you about for a wee while.
Only a little of this poem is about me. Much of it is about how some people seem to give up and quit when things get rough
