Eden

by Domenico Sottile   Jul 25, 2018

Oneiric parks dreamed in the dark
have the fragrance of a remote bark
lost in the memories
of distant young loves
witnessed by none

And some would say it was of Noah’s arc
but I was told no
by the whisper of a lark
If in the contrary it were
my parents who passed away
long time ago
would now make sure
I knew it was so

Perhaps they are the same parks
many have called Eden
while many others today
are quick to doubt even

Is it not human
to wish a better beyond?
Yes
as long as with reason
it is kept
just as a wish
and not as a bond
