Until the war is over

by Dagmar Wilson   Aug 1, 2018

When our heart is sore
emotions are overly tired
so many questions and no answers,
walls are crashing down.

We love with every fiber of our bodies
feel like love is not enough,
there are no words to ease the pain.

We may seek comfort
turning to different things
hiding out at special places,
we are angry, ashamed to tell.

I am one of those
who never understood why things happen the way they do.

But I will fight until the the war is over.
