Comfort Zone

by P o e m e l o   Aug 9, 2018

This is my world,
the one I created.
My fortress, my stronghold.
In here, my integrity was embodied.

When I'm seated on my throne,
it burst the sense of my kingship.
No one gets close when i growl,
whoever dares will be ripped.

I'm a predator.
In this place, I'm the dictator.
My narrow look can pierce,
no matter what, it can tear.

My voice emits power.
My enemy retreats in cower.
In my world, no one is stronger
other than me, the barbaric ruler.

In spite of, I can't step outside
to the very core of my hive.
I am weak when out of home,
to my very own comfort zone.

Very good analogy of how one can feel outside their 'comfort zone'
The greater part of your poem, came across with such a loud voice of strength and power - almost aggressive in nature. Then your last stanza, as small as it is felt timid and quiet, such a contrast and done well.

All I could visualize is the king of the jungle...the Lion.
Liked your choice of words and tone sets up an image of a
    very strong and confident person.

    This line:
    My narrow look can fierce,

^^did you mean pierce...? As that would
    make more sense...

Could relate to this very much,
And loved the imagery used such as
"My voice emits power. My enemy retreats in cower."
Very well put and strong line.
