Hello to all in this a sad event
the passing great - our leader Donald Trump
tho' doubtless we agree - in each lament
that death was pending this; a sexist chump.

Ivanka! My sincerest heartfelt tones
for not this day - his wake, but for his life
and whilst you may be left with just his bones
I fear they'd been in more than just his wife.

Hello to all the Russians at the back
not sure how you got in, but it's okay
collusions not a crime, just don't unpack!
But thanks for Trump, and each his own affray.

According to his will, our Trump bequeathed
that border south; a wall again be wreathed.

"If he hath power, wealth and by his side - beauty....let he be made fun of in reverence and not expense"

    This is quite literally the funniest sonnet I have ever read. I think I've written fifty odd sonnets and never once thought about writing a humorous one (which tells you a little about me, perhaps) but this opens up a whole world of possibilities! Mind you, politicians make it easy, don't they?
