Moonlight Masquerade.

Ajoined, once more.
We dance upon this rooftop.
A final battle.
With my masked lover.
Oh how I wish you would remove that mask, bathe in your glory.
No face scare thee.
And as my hand slid up your neck, onto your sharp jaw in this beautiful moment, and your pale skin glowing, with the moon just behind your gelled hair.
My hands on your mask.
About to uplift and reveal the delicate eyes lay into place with the rest of you.
Only for you to fade into the crowd.
Left with nothing but the moonlight.
And my masquerade.
-------------------------------------------
I'm not sure what gave me this idea.
But I wanted to write a poem like story
With the reader x man in the poem.
The idea of this masquerade ball where you meet your lover on the dance floor under the moonlight.
Only for him to decide it wasn't enough, and leave.
