A Bundle Of Joy

by Romes   Sep 26, 2018

As I wake in the morning I stop and stare
A bundle of joy will soon fill the air
She gets out of bed with the aches and the pains
Not knowing whats next she patiently waits
As she gets dressed in the morning one leg at a time
She strives to move on one day at a time.
For the bundle of joy is soon to arrive
The aches are still there, The pains will subside
The nurses say push, Here he comes as he cries.
A bundle of joy has finally arrived
9 long months
As I wait, With me by her side
She lays down her head in exhaustion and cries
You have done it I say with amaze in your eyes
The baby gets cleaned and put on your chest
As we both stare in awe , We have no words left
I lean and and kiss them both a goodnight
I cant help but Stop and Stare with all of my might

Nicely done! You have captured that wondrous experience in words with great vividness known mostly by those who have experienced it themselves, though in a way that those who have not may see a little clarity!!! Well done!!
