ODE TO A FLEA

ODE TO A FLEA

It’s personal you see, between your dawg and me. Rover has been itching all over, he says to me; hey boss, can you give this bum a toss? The flea laughs and says; good luck chuck, all your efforts will be for a big loss.

All that bug powder makes me bite you harder, like behind your ear my dear. I really love to jump, especially when you bite your rump, many feet I go, love to nip on a toe.

Me and the bride now have many little biters by our side, we take them on tours to see the great divide, and, great nooks in which to hide. On the count of three we all take a bite of our old pal, we shout for joy when we hear his pained howl.

Our biggest fear is water, getting wet, when the hour the Master gives a shower to his pet. So, we hide some eggs around the bend, so our kind will live again.

Ken I love your humour. I can just imagine the flea mum and dad secreting their babies around just in case master washes them away. Keep smiling Milly x
