To Nature

by Ben Pickard   Oct 15, 2018

~~~~~
My muses are the furrowed fields -
The waterfalls and mountaintops;
The stars and all that nature yields:
The meadows and the golden crops.
The blackbird chants and thus becomes
My heart's delight; my morning sun.
And sunlight through a raindrop brings
Such wealth of hue which paints the clouds:
A rainbow borne on angels' wings
Which lights the black and lifts the crowds.
Upon the banks and by the streams,
I fill my time with scenic dreams.
The Summer's green, the Autumn leaves -
The frosty flakes and buds of Spring -
Are portraits of what nature weaves
And emblems of the gifts she brings.
I am the beach, I am the sea,
And all of Her is all of me.
      Michael, there are three excellent pieces on the front page, yours included. To be mentioned at all is an honour and I'm just glad people have enjoyed reading it.
      Take care
    What a talent!
    This is a very strange kind of writing; I mean to say that the summarisation of this poem is far more different and unique in the context of nature. I really love this write!
    This deserves a win. You know how to do it!
    Take care Sir.
